My new violin teacher is horrible!?

She really is. I'm a pretty serious musician, and I loved my old teacher, who randomly moved to Utah a few months ago... Anyway, my new teacher never compliments me, even when I know the material, which I usually do. She only ever comments on my shortcomings, and in a mean way at that. I'm not saying that I expect her to sugarcoat everything, and I know that it is probably "for my own good", but honestly, I have gone from loving the violin to hating it in the few short months that I have been her student. I get nervous and scared before every lesson, and then I play worse as a result. I try to be nice and polite, but I think she hates me! What do I do!?! Please try to help me, any comments are appreciated, and please don't be mean! :)
