How long can a bird stay home alone?

The max you can leave your birds alone (Parakeets) is overnight because they are very social birds. Since you have two, you can leave them for a day, but you still need to change their food, water and paper (cleaning poop). Someone will have to come in everyday to change the food, water and the paper (poop paper).
