Wow. Shy or just unwanted?

Okay. Me and my boyfriend were okay friends before we started dating, well...i didnt really know him at all. then we went to the military ball together and i had liked him for a while and he had liked me too so he asked me out there. now, its awkward as ever cause we have zero to talk about. i want to go hang out with him but our schedules don't match up. he used to sit with me at lunch but he would be really quiet (because he's a naturally quiet and shy person, and im sort of loud, but im way social) but he doesn't really know my friends too well, so he doesn't talk at lunch. Yesterday i got back from the trainer and he was sitting with this other girl, tatiana. or she was sitting with him..i don't really know. but he acted like i didnt even exist! he was looking in our general area where my friends and i were sitting but it was like he was looking through me! and then today he just sat with his friends! he hasn't spoken to me in 2 days! am i missing the big picture here?? is it time to end it?? i asked a couple of my friends (a few of which are his too) and they said not to sweat the small stuff, he's just busy. and i was like too busy to acknowledge the fact that his girlfriend is alive? so what do i do here? im not a clingy person, but this, in my opinion, is ridiculous. sorry for the long details, had to get it all out:) help!
