Question about mixing raw and kibble?

We had some problems on raw and can't feed it any more, but I still have about 5# of green tripe left that I'd love to use. Is it okay/safe to just top off their food with tripe every now and then? And about how long do you think it'll keep in the freezer? I've never dealt with tripe before o.o
