Is this safe for a bird (someone who knows about breeding atiels please)?

my female atiel has babies every sommer. when i first started breeding them, i looked a lot of things up on the internet and i thought i was pretty much covered. but after the babies were a few weeks away from being ready to be handfed, my female laid 7 more eggs! so i took the other babies out right away, but i put one back because it wouldn't eat and the parents refused to sit on the other eggs. thankfully only four of the eggs hatched and two of the others had babies that never did hatch (sadly but also pretty good). then i started to notice that the female was really lethargic all the time and her wings would droop. i took her out of the cage to see if the male would take care of them, but he is just a useless thing without her. and he doesn't stop squawking, so i had to put her back. what should i do next time this happens
