Good Morning DS: Getting a puppy?

i personally don't agree with pups staying with the mother and littermates till they are 12 weeks old, i think that is too old ... i think 8 weeks is good because i want the pup to bond with me and not the mother and siblings ... the breeder of my dog wanted to keep my dog till 12 weeks and my friend and i fought him to get my dog at 8 weeks ... my first dog was 6 weeks old when i got him and he had no deleterious effects from leaving the mom at 6 weeks ... i think the whole 12 weeks is a lot of politically correct mumbo jumbo ... one of those things that gets said, sounds good, and everyone jumps on the politically correct bandwagon ... i will continue to buy my pups at 8 weeks ...
